JUNGIAN LECTURE: The Other Side of Jung: Medicine Man for Our Times

“We should not pretend to understand the world only by the intellect; we apprehend it just as much by feeling. Therefore, the judgment of the intellect is, at best, only the half of truth, and must, if it be honest, also come to an understanding of its inadequacy” (Jung, 1954)
Jung warned that Western consciousness was leading us toward societal destruction and urged a return to the Indigenous or “archaic” mind. Bridging science and spirituality, logic and intuition, and West and East, Jung was both scholar and mystic. In this talk, we explore Jung as a Medicine Man for our times and actively imagine what Jung called “Islands of Peace”.
