About this Event

JUNGIAN LECTURE: The Alchemy of Salome: Courting Anima Mundi and Sophia with Dr. Ana Mozol

Jung’s archetypal figure of Salome represents a necessary and challenging phase in the individuation process on the way to embracing Sophia, the body’s wisdom. This creative presentation weaves together the separate threads of the dreams, synchronicities, and research that occurred as I explored Salome through my theatre production, Jung’s encounter with Salome in The Red Book, and the complex projective field of anima/animus in Jung’s life and Oscar Wilde’s play.

“The amplification of Salome is an unconscious element of the feminine with the power to illuminate within the collective what is obscured by the spiritualized light of logos” ~ Mozol

Bio:

Dr. Mozol was faculty at Adler University and Pacifica Graduate Institute for over 12 years. She authored A Re-visioning of Love: Dark Feminine Rising (2019) and has a private practice in Vancouver, Canada, where she specializes in depth analysis, dreamwork, and the intersection of depth psychology and the creative arts. ana@anamozol.com Books will be available at the event (cash only) or order online: https://www.dreamworktheatre.com/books
